My studio is in Mineola, conveniently located in Nassau county, and I have been capturing newborn photos for more than a decade. My goal with every newborn photo shoot is to capture your child’s genuine personality perfectly and naturally through the eyes of a trained Long Island newborn photographer. What is the ideal age for a newborn photography photo shoot

Many people believe you must photograph a newborn in the first 14 days of their life. While this may be true for some photographers, I specialize in photographing newborns of Ages up to 8 weeks old. I do this to provide the flexibility and express my understanding for what happens in the first few weeks of life with you and your newborn. Not every parent is going to be ready to photograph their newborn within the first 14 days of the baby’s life, for many reasons this is something that I take very seriously. I have served Long Island families with newborns ranging from 7 days to 8 weeks of age. You will be pleasantly surprised how wonderfully you can capture these precious moments, even when your child is nearly 2 months of age.

How long do newborn photo sessions last?

Sessions can last anywhere from 1 hour to about 3 hours, depending on the package you select. In our Long Island newborn photography studio, we have setups for both sibling, and parent photos during your newborn photo shoot. Our basic packages includes just the newborn photos, while our Premier packages allow you to capture both sibling pictures, and parent photos as well. Depending on the package you choose you will receive more prop setups, more outfits, and generally speaking a longer photo session with more edited images.

When I capture your newborn family‘s photos, you will realize that I have meticulously set up my studio and lighting to ensure that your newborn photos will be natural and beautifully lit. I’ve spent the better part of a decade perfecting this photography craft in both a technical and artistic sense. Accessories and Outfits

When you bring your newborn here to my Long Island studio, I have everything you will need for the entire photo shoot. From cute outfits for both boys and girls, to hats and other accessories that will ensure that your experience is both enjoyable and stress-free. Some parents, however like to bring in some custom outfits that are meaningful to them, and this is totally fine. we have had parents bring in Star Wars outfits, baseball gloves, basketballs, police gear, firefighters gear, and so much more. So feel free to bring anything you like to the session, just let me know ahead of time so I can prepare accordingly.

Patience and Timing

To be a newborn photographer, patience is the first requirement on the list. My goal for every single session, is to ensure that you do not feel rushed, you do not feel pressured, that you and your baby are a peaceful and relaxed, loving environment. I am the mother of three children, a 10 year old girl, and identical twin 6year old boys. So please trust that I will have your child’s best interest in mind and show the absolute most patience possible for every single shot we capture for you and your baby. I have been a teacher my whole life as well, I teach music lessons to children, dance lessons to children, and I have been working with children since the age of 15.

Siblings and parent photos

One of the questions I get asked the most are do you include sibling and parent photos in your Long Island newborn photo shoots? the answer is yes I include these photos in some of my packages. Depending on the package you choose, you will receive both parent and sibling photos. The basic packages include just newborn photos, while the premium packages include newborn, sibling photos, and parent photos. When you are booking your session please make sure to mention that you would like sibling photos and or parent photos so I can properly suggest a package for you..
